The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards Get Beautified

Unlike the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards fly a little beneath the radar. The program celebrates those behind the camera rather than in front of it, a position that is arguably more crucial to a show’s success. This past weekend the winners were all over the map, ranging from Jimmy Fallon as Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series (SNL), to The Penguins of Madagascar as most Outstanding Animated Series. Although the penguins had predictably little to say about their award show style, other celebs were looking ultra fierce as they walked the red carpet on September 16th. Be they red-lipped or fresh-faced, the stars from our favorite shows looked inspiring to say the least. Whether you prefer a dramatic look or more natural approach to beauty, there truly was something for everyone. Below, check out who gets my beauty votes from this year’s Primetime Creative Arts Emmys.

Emily Deschanel stunned in a gorgeous plum shade straight off the runway. I thought her porcelain skin looked perfect when paired with a dark lip color.

Lake Bell opted for a more natural look, letting her glowing complexion do all the talking. As long time fan of the actress, I was happy to see her strutting her stuff au natural this year.

Melissa McCarthy easily gets my vote for the most gorgeous eyes on this year’s carpet. Her green eyes were simply striking with the addition of a little liner and smokey bronze shadow palette.
